First, I'd just like to say that I have been away from Specktra for a few years. I've just returned so hello to everyone 
Now onto the real stuff - I know there are a million different threads about cameras and it's all still very confusing. My camera is about 6 years old and it's a simple Canon point and shoot. I've decided it is time to replace it. I'm leaning towards a Canon because I had such a great experience in the past.
Has anyone tried the Canon PowerShot SX230 HS? I'd love a DSLR but they're so big and bulky and I am not interested in having two different cameras. Any suggestions ladies and gents? I will be using it for close-up make-up shots as well as everyday photos.
