cheap pin up red lipstick

Hi everyone! I've been lurking around specktra for a couple months now and I love it! everyone seems so nice and enthusiastic

anyway, I'm going for a old Hollywood pin up look for halloween. can anyone recommend me a brand and color for this look? I'd like a cheap one too just cause I don't wear lipstick usually so it'll be a one time use kind of thing. a drugstore brand would be nice but it has to be a brand that can be found in vancouver canada

I have the perfect pin up red for the cheapest... NYC's Retro Red. It's a wicked true red and great quality too!

I dont know if you can get Barry M cosmetics but they're pretty cheap, in the UK their lippies are £4.50 compared to MAC £11.00

If you can get to them..Pillar box red is GREAT

Ditto on Scream!! It's the perfect red lipstick on me, really moisturizing and pretty long lasting as well. It kisses off quite easily tho, so use a bit of powder dusted on top and a lipliner maybe to make it stay put longer.

I second Revlon's Fire and Ice. In fact, it has literally been in Revlon's color lineup for decades!! It is the most gorgeous cherry red!!!

I don't know if you bought yours already but because of this thread, I went out and checked out the reds suggested and I'm totally in love with the NYC Retro Red that dollparts recommended and it looks great on me! I even showed it off to my sister and she loves it on me too. Best part (drumroll)...it was only 99 cents! Good gravy!

P.S. I'm asian with C4 complexion.

I'm an actor/musician, and wear red lipstick on-stage all the time, so I go through tubes and tubes of it. I always get NYC, and I especially like Firefly moisturizing lipstick.
