I don't remember the last time I've ever tried giving constructive criticism before if ever so my apologies if I don't word this right, but my suggestion would be to blend the shadow that you put on the crease region into the lid colour and the highlight more.

Blend the mulch up higher?

Umm I think blend mulch with whatever you used as your lid colour and whatever you used as the highlight colour. It looks like you used the 219 or some other brush like it to apply mulch yes? It has a distinct line and I'd suggest using a fluffy blending brush or crease brush or something like that to fade the mulch out so there isn't as harsh of a line.

edit// I don't own mulch, so I'm just going by what you said lol. But I'm referring to that darkest brown colour.
