Does anyone here has or had braces? If so, How is it like? I saw some of my friends having them but I am rather scared to try. Maybe I will save up to get one. Any advice to give me?

If you need braces, you need to research orthodontists where you live. Ask friends where they go, do some googling. See if you can get a consultation.

I had to wear the wire kind of braces for two years, top and bottom teeth. Before that I had to wear an appliance on the roof of my mouth for a few months to widen it.
