Dying Dark Hair Blonde...

I have naturally dark brown hair. And If I want to dye my top layer blonde, must I bleach it first?

I'm going to the salon in a few days, and I was just wondering.

And after bleached hair, it will fall out and get nasty right? So how would I combat that?

If your hair has not previously been bleached, then you shouldnt have any problem with dying it blonde, or having it fall out (Fallling out ususally only occurs on someone who has MAJOR bleached hair , or if you leave the bleach waaaaaay to long in your hair) , I have naturaly dark brown hair, and ive gone blonde without any problem, but yes you do have to bleach it to get it lighter. your stylist will tell you everything you need to know
