I found this site and I am so glad I did. I have been a avid Bare Escentuals wearer for years and last year I branched out to the world of Mac eyeshadows. Well what a difference, boy do they last. I still use B/E foundaton etc but as time goes on I expect that to change.

I do have a question that you verteran users may be able to help me with. I have green eyes and my eye shadows consist of :

Heatherette Trio2. Plum dressing, nocturnelle, phloof and espresso .

Well I am going to purchase something this week and I would like something to go with what I already have, any suggestions? ALso how would the Heathereete Trio1 go? I am thinking since I have geeen eyes maybe not.

Ooh, if you have green eyes (and you've already got a bunch of purples), you should try something on the reddish side, like Star Violet or Coppering. That would look amazing with green eyes. Also, I'm a big fan of gold with green eyes, so something like Woodwinked (not quite gold but it would still look great), Goldmine, or Gorgeous Gold.

And as for the Trio 1, I say if you like it, then you should get it. I personally don't care about matching colours to my eyes, if there are colours that make my eye colour pop more, great, but I'm definitely not going to AVOID wearing colours because someone made a rule to not wear certain eyeshadows with certain eye colours. But that's just me. The teal colour in Trio 1 would be super hot with any of the pinks or purples you own (teal and purple is one of my fave combos), plus there's a really nice black shadow in there, which is extremely necessary, IMO. I use black eyeshadow no matter what sort of look I'm going for, it can add a lot more depth.

HTH!

I definitely second Woodwinked! In fact every time someone asks for shadows recs I'm likely to suggest it. It's my favourite MAC shadow - super soft and blendable and a gorgeous colour to boot!
