My mum's friend gave me some old school MAC stuff she bought ages ago, but I'm not sure how authentic some of the stuff is as it wasn't bought from a MAC store (too good to be true? lol) Are any of these pigments fake? (pigment - batch no on jar - batch no above barcode)

Turquoise - AC2 - MOP4121
Brass - 7E121 - Discontinued
Light Blue - A00 - M0P405

'Discontinued' seems weird to me and aren't the codes supposed to match up?? Also A00 must be fake if the first number is supposed to be the month of production (1-9 or A-C right??) I need your expertise ladies & gents! I don't wanna use them and burn my skin off! TIA

My Brass is 9B121, so not the same, but exactly the same format. The other 2 I can't say. Can you post some pics??

I'm also trying to determine the authenticity of my MAC Turquoise pigment, which I bought off of eBay. The number on mine is A33 - MOP412. Is the weight of your Turquoise pigment 7.5 grams or 2.5 grams?

The turquiouse seems as OK, the batch codes look alright to me, in both formats they look fine, and yes some of the older pigments did have long numbers like that (the lippies did too!!). Can you name the seller of the turquoise? There were a few people with it that I know were definitely authentic because I looked at them myself...lol!
Cant say about your light blue? The colour is a real colour, it should be a MATTE, but the 3 digit batach code seems off - the first number is actually the RUN number and A is fine, the second number however cant be a 0 in my experience, the last 0 might have meant 2000 production, but the longer batch code again seems ok - I'll join the bandwagon with macattack and ask for some pics
