I've been to alot of drag shows, I think this is a good drag look. What I think makes a drag look too is a lot of fierce contouring. The eye look is very fierce. I love it when I see drag queens do a fierce cut the crease, like eye liner so dark it's crazy. I might say, but advice to take it a step further is to focus on contouring.

hi tashona: thanks for the c.c.! how much contouring is too much for this kinda thing? i am using mac's blunt powder for contouring--should i be using something a little darker or should i just use more of it? am i perhaps overblending? i'm so used to doing day looks with no obvious lines between products/shades that i'm just not sure how to step this up. i think i naturally gravitate to rather extreme/editorial looks in makeup (i'm artsy-fartsy that way); however, i just don't have a chance to really practice this type of makeup and i certainly don't have a chance to wear it. i think that this is a major weakenss in terms of my skill set. any/all suggestions would really be appreciated!

Hi! Very cool use of color!

When you contour, also highlight the area where the light will hit. This makes the "sculpting" come alive. Also sculpt the nose, & bright highlights on the brow bone & eye lid always work to really bring out the drag queen in you.

I just found your thread after I posted an FOTD call the KNOCK-DOWN / DRAG-OUT eye, which was also inspired by the drag look.

Keep up the good work!
