fluidline blacktrack help wanted!

Hi! Question about blacktrack... I have super oily skin and small eyelids. As you know this makes for a bad combo for getting eye makeup to stay put which is why I love my UDPP. I used blacktrack today for the first time after finding it in my step daughters room because I couldn't find my NYX marker style liquid eyeliner that I have always used in the past (hey, it's cheap and has always done the job). Anyway, even after applying UDPP and putting on the blacktrack, it still rubbed off and I got the rub off line on my upper eyeshadow!

Any ideas how to get the blacktrack to set better so it won't rub off? I absolutely loved it otherwise, how it glided on, the color, etc... Thanks!

Hi! I hope you understand my english, Have you tried after you draw the line putting some eyeshadow like carbon to set?

One thing that helps me is to make sure that the upper area, where the lids will be rubbing, are thoroughly primed and covered in shadow (REALLY make sure it's all primed/covered, even if you're leaving that area skintone, use skintone shadow). That seems to cause less friction and less transfer.

Totally agree with this! I use my fluidliners almost like bases or enhancers for eyeshadow... then it gives the shadow serious staying power.

I would say make sure the blacktrack is completely set before opening your eyes. it is a fairly fast setting product, but because of the gel consistency it can still transfer if it is warmed by the skin. I would personally not set it with black shadow because I feel like that would just make the black shadow you set it with transfer to your upper lid as well.

Typically I would recommend using the penultimate liner instead of blacktrack for that specific issue. You still have to wait for it to dry, but I find it is less prone to transfer from skin heat than the blacktrack fluidline.

Also for any of these liners, Benefit's She-Laq product is a great way of setting liner. Your liner won't budge once you use this product over it. I do this with brides a lot so liner doesn't smudge if they should start crying or tearing up.

Yes, this is what I did today, I used jordana love and hate to go over the line and it helped A LOT! It's not a matte black but has a little glitter to it which was fine. I still got a little transfer but I think took a tiny bit more UDPP over the faint transfer line and rubbed it in and that got rid of the faint line.

I have never used this product before. Do you use it in place of UDPP? Or is it something that goes over the liner once you have it on? Thanks!!

I use Too Faced shadow insurance and it keeps my liner in place. I actually always had my liner rub off a bit with UDPP too so I stopped using it. The only way for me to stop it was to dust my lids with Revlon's Colorstay pressed powder, after that it would stay in place all day. Maybe try sampling a few new primers.

I'm going to lead you away from MAC and suggest you try MUFE Aqua black liner. That stuff is budgeproof, but it can also be a pain to take off. It might be something ur looking for though. =D

To answer the OP's question- She-Laq can be used over liner to set it. I use it over my brows too, to set those and it works great. You can basically use it over anything to keep it in place!
