FOTD #1: Tempting Poise

My first post, let alone my first FOTD!
It's fairly straightforward, I've only really gotten into makeup beyond mascara and chapstick in December. Now I'm hooked

I want to try some crazier colors but I guess I am still quite timid. In reality I feel like I'm heavy on the blush, but it barely shows up in these photos!
FACE
Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel
Smashbox Photo Finish Primer
MAC Hyper Real Foundation in NC 200
MAC Studio Fix in NW20
MAC Blushcreme in Blossoming
Philosophy The Supernatural Tint in Supernatural
MAC Gleam Coat in Poly Pearl
EYES
UDPP
MAC Mylar on browbone and inner corner
MAC Poise on lid
MAC Tempting in crease and outer third
UD Twice Baked to deepen the outer corner
Diorshow Blackout Mascara
Sephora's Arch It Brow Kit Powder (not the cream)
LIPS
Burt's Bees Lip Balm
Same look, different days:

Is there a way to avoid that "orange peel" texture on my cheek here? My skin is pretty ok right there, I'm not sure how to get rid of it without photoshop!

Also, maybe this is a newbie question, but I recently decided to go with NC instead of NW. I got a new NC 25 studio fix but it looks SUPER light in the pan next to my face, while I am currently using up what's left of my poor NW 20 (which makes me feel really chalky unless I just barely dust it on

) What gives? Am I just being paranoid? If I need to go a shade darker I'd rather trade the NC25 in new. TIA!

Have you been matched by an MA? I'd recommend it if not and make sure you check it out in natural light before buying.

How about trying a primer to get a better finish? If you do a search on here you'll find lots of helpful recommendations.

I love your hair colour btw!

My aunt is an MA and she bought me the new studio fix, actually! And a girl at the local bloomie's matched me with the foundation (which I love)-- NC200-- is there a way the intensity of the colors between liquids and powders correspond? IE: is NC200 the same as NC20?

I am wearing primer BTW, but maybe I should try putting a little extra on that area? I will def. try it out.
Also, thanks for the compliment and quick reply
