Gel eyeliners (aka fluidliners

) rock. They have excellent staying power and they're easy to apply if you have the right brush. You really ought to check them out!

I bought some for my niece & she said it's the best she's ever experienced!

I just use pencils....

Fluidlines were my first MAC purchase in April and I use them (I have most of the shades) every single day and don't see ever using pencils again. I still use the occasional eyeshadow as liner with Mixing Medium, but you just can't beat the versatility of the Fluidlines as both eyeliner and as a base for shadows, or as is the case with Frostline, as an underbrow highlighter.

ITA with everyone else. They rock! I am the biggest clutz when it comes to pencil liners, but I have even mastered the swoop out at my outer corner with my #209 brush and fluidlines. I honestly can say it is the one thing MAC I can't live without. I would even forgo undereye concealer (I look like a racoon all the time) for these

fluidlines are amazing (I haven't tried any other gel type liners) - but in addition to making a great budge-proof liner, they also work very well as a base for shadow!
