By the way, I'm not sure if those covered this, but /me is an carryover from the old IRC channels from before instant messenger and all that existed. It changed the post format so that one could input an action or something. Normally a line of discussion would be like this:

[11:59] martygreene: It's 11:59 right now, and I still haven't gotten out of my pajamas!
[11:59] martygreene: I'm so cool!

But using /me when typing in what you want to say changes it to look like this:

[11:59] martygreene: It's 11:59 right now, and I still haven't gotten out of my pajamas!
[11:59] *martygreene is so cool!

For that, I would have typed /me is so cool, to get the second line to format as it did. This was later co-opted by chat rooms that did not function with the IRC protocols to be the *action* that you may be familiar with.

heh I have the tendency to write /me too because I still hang out on irc...but I thought people would think I'im crazy. lol
