halloween 2009

i know its super early, but i just wanted to post this little bit of info.

we got a fax the other day informing us of the guidelines for submitting halloween looks, and these are the categories:

music inspired
comic book characters
scary characters
fairly tale figures
black & white
nature inspired

i'm interested to see what they come up with this year. hopefully there are more looks than last year!

I take it only MAC artists can submit looks? Do you have anything in mind, erine?

^^^yep, only mac artists can submit looks.

i'm not gonna submit anything i don't think. its a lot of work! you gotta draw it up step-by-step, do it on yourself or someone else with step-by-step pics/vids, and a bunch of other stuff that i'm too lazy to do.

i'm not very creative when it comes to creating a look. now replicating other peeps halloween looks is what i like better! halloween at mac is my favorite day (makeup wise on myself. i hate that day when it comes to appointments!)!

now if i can have a brain explosion and come up with something really awesome, then yes, i'll submit something.

i want to enter so bad, but like erin said, they made it so difficult now with all the requirements, which is why i think there were so few last year. im really gonna try though, hopefully i can come up with something cool.

^^^for real! it'd be so much better if we could just do the facechart like years past. i kinda figured that's why there were so few last year, what with all the requirements now.

It's too bad that they don't do a customer Halloween face chart contest. I'm sure that there would be a lot of great submissions.

Hmmm....those make me curious. With all of the back and forth speculation about the holiday fairy tale collection and an all black collection, this is interesting. MAC tends to incorporate themes. Like this summer with gardens: Graphic Gardens and Baby Blooms. Maybe this is a sign.

it may be a sign.

we heard those two rhumors (black and fairytale), and someone was hoping for a black & white collection. hopefully this is a prelude for things to come.

customers are invited to submit theirs to the mac facebook page!!
