Help w/Organizing Quads! (involved)

I recently depotted all of my 32 eyeshadows and put them in 15-pan palettes. I was excited about getting B2M lipsticks and saving space, but I'm overwhelmed looking at 15 eyeshadows at a time. :crap:

I did some research on here and found some people prefer quads to the 15's for this reason. Thus, I've decided to switch to 4-pan palettes, each with an e/s for the base, lid, crease, and browbone. I'm a newbie, so I'm still perplexed about choosing colors (and finishes!) that work well together.

I would REALLY appreciate any suggestions on organizing my quads you lovely ladies might have. (And links to any helpful threads.) I bow before you experienced MAC priestesses!

You could break them down by collections as well, however you might need an extra quad for some of them as alot of the collections have more than 4 shadows. And then have 1 quad set asside for brow colors.
I think the only thing that keeps me from using quads is that I would have several dozen of them. So I keep mine in the 15 pans w/ lables on the outside. That way I know what's in each case so I don't have to keep opening them to what's where.

You could do what I do and just organize them into "quads" inside your 15 palette? That way if a collection has 6 shadows, all 6 go together. Or I also have palettes by finish or colour. Yeah, I have a few.

i just order my 15x pallettes in rows by color. greens across, blues across, pinks across, purples, oranges/golds, dark/silver colors that way i get more color ideas having them all laid out together. it saves space and money too.

if you really want to do quads, maybe by colors? pinks, blues, greens, browns. if you use any as brow color I would personally keep those seperate (although I have yet to catch on to the whole brow filling-in thing). perhaps if finish is of concern to your creativness, you could organize them by finish in the quads, and then by colors within the finishes.

^^ i agree. i have my quads organized by colours, greens, purples, browns, ect. to give you an idea i'll post mine since the list is not too extensive...

1) shroom, motif, dazzlelight, retrospeck

2) jest, era, sable, satin taupe (this quad was made for me and i will not be reorganizing)

3) patina, brown down, woodwinked, soba

4) juxt, humid, sum. olive, vex

5) b. iris, sketch, plum dressing, star violet

the pallets can be transfered without a lot of effort so i wouldn't stress too much, you'll find something that works.
