how do you save??

my timing sucks! i'm running low on money just when d'bohemia's coming out. i'll get some help because it's my birthday in the first week of june, but i'm going to stick to $100 at most. i doubt i've ever spent more than that when i've been to the counter...it's that timing thing again, i'm always out of money when a new collection is introduced. do you, like, set aside some money for MAC when you get a paycheck? because i think i'll have to start doing that!

I always save for the next collection, but I rarely buy clothes, so more money to spend on MAC!

I have 2 jobs, so that probably help a lot...

At the time right now I use my allowance, which is not much *15dollars a week, so like one thing from MAC a week if I save* I can't splurge on any stuff until I go back to France *where I have a job*

I dont spend on anything else (aside from rent, food & my daughter - her money is rationed into a seperate account from my habits) I dont buy clothes or shoes, I just buy makeup and perfume obsessively..Getting a large check from the insurance company didnt hurt

i set aside money but i don't really save it - i work full time and make decent money so after my bills are paid, lots of it goes to mac.

That word is definitely not in my vocab.

Although I must admit that I think most of my haul this week will be paid for, in part thanks to a check from Bookbyte.com when I sold back a huge box of textbooks from several classes last year and this year.

Otherwise, I just throw it on the CC and intend to worry about it later. I'm just a couple of months away from graduation, and am hoping to contract to get a decent job, which will help pay my bills in no time.

I hardly ever save, unless it's for my hauls. I don't go out drinking or partying a lot (my friends spend $100 a night usually) and I'm fairly low maintenance for everything else like clothes, shoes, purses, etc.

LOL. I borrow from myself (my savings) pay it back and then some,.. and then by the time I get it paid back I am borrowing again,... the good thing is the little extra I force myself to give back each time makes sure I am still increasing my savings,.. eventaully I figure when it hurts too much I will slow down with this addiction, maybe,.. or get a second job,.. LOL!

well....... I really shouldn't ... but I did pay a huge electric bill -its my birthday this month, I honestly tend to justify spending on what I want.. I teach school and am in serious burnout mode -I shop when I'm happy, sad or stressed. I am not happy unless I'm broke - I really like shopping, but I hate having things to make payments on so I drive a ancient car -my makeup box is worth more than my vehicle **seriously***

people who are always short of money at the end of the month, should put an amount like 25 bucks to your savingsaccount every month when you recieve your money. you'll end up with no money anyway, you don't really miss it, and it's an easy way to put some money aside.

I'm terrible about saving. But makeup is my only expensive hobby; I don't really spend on much else. I buy clothes on sale or at Old Navy or Target. As long as I have good shoes, a decent bag, and lots of pretty makeup I'm happy.

Yeah, my clothes are generally penney's -old Navy- and walmart. This year I've put a good chunk into a deferred daycare program so when I need money I submit for reimbursement. Money is to be spent. Where of course my husband's philosophy money is to be saved for big expensive toys like men like.
