I don't have a MAC here - Can I still freelance?

I'm rather interested in freelancing for MAC, although I don't really know if I would be able to. I don't live in a city that has a MAC location (counter or freestanding store). The closest one is 2 1/2 hours away and I would be more than willing to travel to freelance, but only for events, etc. I don' t know what the job entitles exactly either, so if someone could inform me, it would be greatly appreciated. I guess my question is, do you think MAC would hire me as a freelance artist if I don't live in a city that has a location?

I would think so, I don't see why not if you're willing to make the drive. I would phone the counter manager and explain to her that you're very interested in freelancing for the line and ask her if she's needing any help with holiday events.

I wouldn't even bring up the drive, just make sure that you tell her you're only interested in working events not filling in shifts. Some counters will let you do it like that, some won't.
