ok..this is it girls...i give up on trying to create a smokey eyes look for myself...i just think i suck at creating smokey eyes (no matter how i try to learn from the tutorials in specktra)..i find that i suck at it. This is my last attempt at smokey eyes. I'll just stick back to the usual bright green and blues...I think my eyes are jus not suited for the smokey look. They are not deep set enough

i think you look fabulous! i really like your blending

if you want a more dramatic effect, do like MzEmo said and just draw it out more towards the outer v and blend it outwards and upwards a little more

I think it looks good! But if you're worried about your crease not looking deep enough, I would do it this way:

Light shade on lid
Medium shade in crease
Medium/dark shade to deepen crease
Black/really dark shade in outer "v", extended.
Highlight color under brow.

Sorry, that's not very descriptive, lol. But yeah...I think it would really bring out your eyes if you tried it that way, since you're worried about the crease thing.

thanks girls for all the tips. I will try the tips u have given me out. ...i think the main prob for me when i do my eye mu is that
i have hidden eyelids..as u can see from this photo. when i open my eyes, it looks like i have single eyelids...and the "best" part is that both the hidden lids are not even. sigh! i have a headache whenever i draw my eyeliner i have to draw it super thick then i can see the slightest hint of my eyliner

i actually liked how it turned out. i agree with ashley, try using a lighter shade on your lid and then 2 shades on crease to make it deeper. and have you tried tightlining your lashline from underneath? i find this gives a lot more definition to the eye without taking up too much space: i use an angled brush, dip it in embark shadow (u can use whatever shade or fluidline yu like) and then lightly pull your lids up with one hand, and with the other one use small strokes to put the shadow under your top lashes. i hope i made sense :/

I think it looks great! And I actually thought that the smoky look was worse for deep set eyes - I know mine look sunken if I am not careful and don't use a light hand.

i think u did great.. smokey eyes are not meant to be perfect.. thats why we call it smokey.. the colors are supose to be deep, soft and yet smudged... thats how IMO smoke eyes should look like.... ( kinda dirty) thats what makes smokey eyes so sexy. theres nothing wrong with ur application nor do i think u need advice on how to create "the perfect smokey look" i give u 2 thumbs up keep up the awsome job.. hope to see more pics from ya

thanks a lot girls for the encouragement. i guess i'm not used to seeing myset wearing a full smokey eye.......i always thought it looked good on others but i doubted whether i could carry it off as i never did like black/dark shadows..

but as one of my fav ex MAC MA said, we need to experiment with all kinds of colours and styles to be versatile..that's y i tried it out (i never wore the smokey look out though, cause i'm just worried about what others might think...they might think i look like a panda.

Anyway girls, thanks for the comments and feedback. Appreciate it loads.

*lol* I know what you mean about uneven lids! It's esp. frustrating when I want to have colour peep out when my eyes are open, cuz I know when my eyes are closed or showing more lid, the colour application isn't symmetrical! I've realized, tho, that I'm the only one who notices... my sis-in-law can't tell unless I mention I don't like how it turned out, and reminds me that I notice more cuz I'm up close to the mirror.

But you don't need to worry, cuz both your smokey and colourful eotd's look great. In the first one you're pretty sexy! Keep experimenting!
