My friend who is dancing in a show for a club asked me to do her makeup. I will be doing two faces for the show and this will be my first makeup gig. I don't have a problem doing this for free, because although i know I'm good at doing makeup on my own face I have no idea how I will do on others. This is going to be my time to get some experience and see if i like the whole process.
Now, in the future should i decide that i LOVE the process (which I think i will) My question to any of you who are experienced makeup artists- How much do you charge per person if it's something like a party, birthday, dancers, club events, etc & would your price differ if it were for something bigger like a wedding?
I was planning on setting my price at 30-45 per face, I'm not sure if that's to high or to low. I had seen a post somewhat similar to this and some people stated that they charge anywhere from 80-200 which feels intimidating to me as someone that's never charged for application, but you guys let me know what you think and any advice would be appreciated
