Loose Powder?

Hi,

Anyone here like the NARS loose powder? I'm on a mission for a new setting powder. I can't seem to find it though- Sephora has stopped stocking it and I don't want to pay to ship off the website unless I have some good recs for it!

Thanks!

I personally really like it. It's triple-milled so it's super fine and applies really well. I've still yet to master the sieve and it can be a bit messy if you accidentally get out too much. I've tried loose powders from Laura Mercier and MUFE and the Nars one is my favorite. I picked mine up at Saks Fifth Avenue so you might want to check out some department stores that carry Nars in case they have it before you purchase online :)

I tried the LM one first- nothing to write home about although people seem to rave about it.

Love the NARS one, glad I got it. Only thing better is the MUFE HD- which I try and save for special occassions.

Thanks

I am also interested in loose powder. I am planning to order it online but i dont know which shade? I am MAC nc20 and i use NARS sheer glow in Deuville?
By the color description on their site, only Eden sounds like good much but i am worried it will be too dark?

Hi Monsy,
I use the Deauville Sheer Glow and use the NARS Pressed Powder in Eden, and recently purchased the loose powder in Eden as well - it's beautiful. I like the pressed for travel and more coverage, but the loose powder is triple milled and super lovely! It's really translucent - no need to worry.

... also, I attend many events and the NARS MUAs always grab Eden for me .. and Deauville ... .

The Loose Powder is pretty good. It may seem expensive, but you do get a lot of powder, so it will last you a very long time. The only problem with this powder is that it's so finely milled that it tends to fly everywhere if you're not a little careful with it. ;)

NARS Loose Powder is also on beauty.com (ships to US only) and spacenk.com (US and UK) if you don't want to buy directly from the NARS website.

Loose Powder is going to end up looking like that if it gets bumped and dropped excessively during shipping. I would definitely get the short/speedy shipping method just to be sure. Loose powders can arrive even in stores a bit "messy" it's just how it is because you have the option to use the sieve and remove the the underlying sticker covering the holes, or remove the clear plastic and just use the sieve for finer application. The powder can seep under the clear plastic if dropped and bumped excessively. I would probably dust it off by using the powder and keep it as is; but also mention it as it may be a product where NARS needs to recommend/address the shipping.
