MAC Brush reaction with clear nail polish?

Has anyone had this happen to them? I put clear nail polish over the number because it started to fade and this is what happened:

I've done this with all my MAC brushes but this is the first time this has happened.

aww that sucks

. I use clear nail polish on mine as well. Is it the same np that you used for the other one. I've noticed that the np that are formulated to be fast drying tend to do that.

ahh there you go then... thank you! That might be it... I used OPI's fast drying top coat. I think on the other I used some generic Sally Hensen one. Lesson learned I guess
