MAC employee "exam!

Hi all,

I haven't posted much in here, and especially not lately, have been falling out of the MAC loop a bit :(

BUT! I just got an opportunity to get an interview at MAC because they are hiring one part-time employee in my town, and I went today and was scheduled for the demo on tuesday!

I hope some of you can help me - I know I have to show off my skills, everything I got, because I know there's at least 2 others I'm competing with, but is there anything in particular that would be great? And do they tell you what to do, or can I just decide for myself? And I know I'm probably told to do day-makeup and then turn it into night-time makeup, but is it okay to "just" use colourful day-time makeup, and then put on a bit darker colors, more liner and more defining of the face for the night-time look?
And I would love to hear it if you have any tips or tricks to get me through this demo - this is a dream come true for me!

Also, does any of you know if there's any difference in the demos across countries? I'm in Denmark, and I'm not sure if it's like everywhere else.

dont do bright that will get you done right off the bat. stay neutral even in your own makeup dont try to hard to impress them. lately they here in a few locations they have been give out tear sheet from a magazine and having the people demoing create the look they see in 30 minutes. read in the industry forum in the hiring process threads they will help

Well, to give you an update, I actually did brights - and they LOVED it! And I did brights on my model as well, creating a look from a facechart my model chose for me, and even though I didn't do everything on the 30mins (I forgot mascara and highlighter, ugh!), they let me finish off and said I had great skills - so I got a "future job", they would call me when there is a freelance position available, they said I passed the test and I was "suited for MAC". :)

Here's a lil update: I got hired! Got the part time artist position. I'm starting tomorrow, and my Basic Training is in November - soooo excited!
