MAC eye paints or paintsticks

which is a better as a base before eyeshadow the eyepaints or paintsticks?

I like and use both, but I personally prefer Paints more. I like to layer eyeshadows sometimes and when I use the Shadestick, it doesn't look as smooth as when I use a Paint. Plus, for me, the staying power of the paints are much better.

{edit} - Oh, I didn't even realize you put paintsticks... I just saw 'sticks' and thought shadesticks right away

ops: Whoops, my mistake! In that case, I've haven't tried paintsticks yet, I don't think they're available where I am

paintsticks are a pro product, and carry the same precautions as thier pigment counterparts.

they do have a nice texture, though I'm unsure of their longevity on the eyes.

The MA from the pro store told me that the paintsticks are used mainly for professional shoots, events, and theater, etc. They aren't really good for bases, they are meant for body art. You could try though, but it probably won't last as long as a paint, etc.

Paintsticks don't make good bases... try shadesticks or paints

or ccbs, on some people.
