Mac "Myth" drying out my lips

does this happen to anyone else? everytime I wear my MAC "myth" my lips dry out like crazy! i exfoliate every night.. even if it's fully moisturized and perfect.. after the second time i re-apply it.. it already goes super dry and makes me lips flakey... looks gorgeous when I first apply it though

some lipsticks will do that if you apply them alone
im not shure about myth specifically
so i dont really know what you could

but i put vasiline on my lips before i go to sleep and it mosturizes then really well!

Put a base on first. Something slightly emollient but not greasy works best - I use MAC's clear conditioning lipstick or the untinted lip conditioner underneath matte or satin lipsticks to give them some more slip and be less drying. Because the base isn't greasy like Vaseline or reflective like gloss, it doesn't affect the matte properties of the lipstick.

Also you may be over-exfoliating your lips, leading to irritated skin and the possibility of skin flakes. You only need to exfoliate your lips every second night at the very most, and even then only with a damp washcloth.

I use mac myth all the time and have no trouble as long as I use MAC clear lip condtioner..its amazing!
