Hi....I just recently joined and I feel the need to vent and I felt this was the appropriate avenue to do so. I will try to get out what I need to say and keep it short (TRY being the key word). so basically I applied to MAC, was interviewed and was hired as a freelancer. I only worked the counter TWICE in months of being in the system. I try to call other counters to see about hours and the manager that hired me proceeds to yell at me and tell me this is not the way it works. I go to the counter to chat with co-workers and purchase things and I see new freelancers (I was told that the one drove 30 mins to get there). After all this, I hear from different co-workers and even from a local mua in my city that this manager is horrible. That she will not give you a chance if she feels threatened or intimidated by you and that several people have called HR on here and she is still there.I feel this is what happened to me and that she is abusing her authority. It's unfortunate because I feel as if my dream was dangled in front of me and then snatched away.....
Now I am trying to apply to different counters and I feel like I have to mention that I worked at that counter because that is the last place I worked (cosmetic related) but they have to call her for reference. I don't know what to do

People seem to be reading but not replying which is cool. Just to update I did end up being able to get an interview YAY!!!! my demo is tomorrow and then I have another in person interview at another department store on friday. Hopefully my past troubles won't hinder me from moving forward with my dream...
