Mod Night!

Hey Guys!

I am in love with MAC makeup and am looking to buy some new products. What are everyone's MUST HAVE top 3 products (any products) that are out right now.


ALSO I am going to "MOD" night this Wednesday and need a makeup look... anyone have any ideas? I am thinking of a BLUE combination

I don't know how you feel about a red lips but I would look into some of the MAC red lipsticks like MAC Red and Glam, my two favorites. Hope this helps.

Sorry, more than three! Using Blacktrack would be nice for modnight. I did something similar and wore blacktrack fluidline with Angel lipstick. Love!

Personally, my top 3 products are:-

- select tint sp15 (love this: a tinted moisturiser that gives good coverage for my oily skin - best foundation I've ever found on my skin)

- seedy pearl eyeshadow (irridescent pinky lavendar "mother of pearl" colour)

- ruby woo lipstick (A classic matte red with bluish undertones) or possibly glam (another matte red, but with strongly pink undertones, like the colour of a red rose)


If you're going for a mod look, I second SnowWhite's recommendation of Blacktrack fluidline, maybe also have a look at some of the fake lashes MAC have on offer, if you've a store near you maybe see if one if the MA's could apply them for you? And if you really want to go for the whole Mod look full-on, look for either a "foundation lips" look (if you've a colouring that can pull this off), or a pale frosty pink or lilac lipstick or gloss (Bombshell l/s maybe? I'm just not someone who does pale or frosty lips, EVER, but they do look great on other people)

If what you fancy instead is a blue eyeshadow look, the following MAC blues are really pretty:-

- Flashtrack: dark shimmery navy, has a slightly plummy hue
- Freshwater: the brightest, brightest shimmery cornflower blue
- Electric Eel: a semi-matte uber-bright turquoise, a real head-turner (the colour that got me into MAC in the first place, yay!)
- Moon's Reflection: shimmery sky blue, looks great with Flashtrack
