MSF question

Hey guys I need to ask you a few questions. Well first as of lately I've been wearing mineral makeup and it doesnt feel cakey and break me out like studio fix powder. Im thinking about purchasing a natural msf and either or both of the n sparkly msf. Are the natural msf considered "true" mineral makeup and do you feel that this may potentially break me out as well? Also what natural msf would you recommend for a NC45/BE medium tan? Would you also think that I could use flushed light or warmed as a blush/highlighter?

If you I were you, I would get Warmed and Light Flush MSF.

Msf naturals do contain talc, not sure if that makes it a true mineral makeup.

I use Light Flush as a blush a lot. It's nice, because it's peachy, but the bronze veining gives me a bit of a sunkissed look too. I don't personally have Warmed, but I would think it would work best as a bronzer. If it's not too shimmery, you could also use it for contouring.

I have used both BE and the MSF Naturals. BE gave me more coverage and I think it's more of a true mineral makeup. I thought the msfs would just be pressed versions of BE and that wasn't the case. If you were to try a MSF Natural I would recommend Medium Dark or Medium Deep. MAC is also launching a loose mineral makeup product that is supposed to be comparable to BE, EM and the like. You may want to wait and try that.

in order for a makeup to be considered mineral makeup, it must contain 5 minerals. any five, no specific minerals required, as long as there are 5. MSFN contain 77. mac is the only brand that can or will tell you how many are in there. so, as long as there are at least 5 minerals in there, it can be labeled mineral makeup. there isn't a true definition as to what is considered "real" mineral makeup.

I wasn't aware mineralize skinfinishes were minerals, however I have super sensitive skin (hence why i use mineral foundation) and the mineralize skinfinishes on top of my mineral foundation cause me no problems at all. In fact, I love them. I think warmed would look lovely on you, although it is more of a bronzer instead of a blush.

Okay I've just come back from the Mac counter. I must say that the natural MSFs are pretty good but look a little powdery. Both the Medium Deep and Dark work, but as summer hits I think the medium deep would work best. Now for the shiny MSFs. Warmed doesnt really show up on me and the Light Flush is nice but I thought that it would get more shine. I played with Revlon skinlights illuminator and its way more shiny than this. In pictures it looks very natural and I guess thats the whole point. I think that I will go and purchase some. It will probably be online though. I dont have a car and my suitemates are on a total different schedule than me. I just hate being rushed.

studio fix powder gave me bad breakouts too! and i only used it for a week! so i returnred it today. i have natural mineralize skin finish in medium plus. and ive used it for 2 months now. its great and it doesnt break me out like the studio fix powder. its a really light coverage, so i really want to get the new loose mineral makeup when it comes out in 2 weeks.

you're gonna have to wait more than 2 weeks. it doesn't come out til april 24th.

Well once I took it off which was about 11 pm my forehead had very fine little bumps on it. They looked like heat bumps. And now today my nose has a few tiny under-the-skin-pimples and those forehead bumps are trying to leave. Well its not that bad. I like it whole lot more than the studio fix powder.

Its so much heavier than any other mineral type makeup I've ever tried; however it is much lighter than traditional Mac foundations. I even swatched the Mac select tints on my hand and that was pretty thick too. The Nc45 matched perfectly though. I think I may try that one next.

I was really hoping I could find an alternative to loose powder that I could just buy from the store. There is just something in Mac makeup that doesnt agree with me. Maybe the loose mineral powder will be better. Even though its not a pressed mineral foundation, atleast I'll be able to just go to the mall and get it.

i have a question, will an natural msf cover up pores on my nose? they arent huge pores but they are visible close-up
