so every friday night i sit in front of the TV and clean/organize my traincase,as i do this i (without noticing) name each product,my boyfriend gets an absolute kick out of it,in fact i have done this so much now when i wear certain eyeshadows he says things like "is that aquadisiac?" its so cute and funny! i love how when we go to CCO at sawgrass he is so amused by how excited i get (since its like a grab bag and you never know what they will have),he completley supports my obssesion and he even lets me spritz fix+ on him, haha!
just wanted to share, since i think it is adorable.

haha... my ex was plain old confused about why I owned any make-up at all. He liked me without it. He was always like, "You're pretty with make-up, but just as gorgeous without it, why do you own so much of it?"... Nice of him, I'll admit.

Sounds like my sweetie. He always goes to the MAC stores and counters with me. He's gone into the PRO store to buy things for me by myself. Sometimes when he sees me, he will guess how many colors I have blended for my eye look that day. He also tells me what looks good on me and what doesn't. He's a cool guy

He said he loves how excited I get when I am in the MAC store; he thinks it's cute

My hubby is the same. He's a real MAC expert, knows about new collections and this stuff. He always makes nice compliments to the make up I wear, lucky me he likes it shimmery and colourfull !
If we ever ever split (I hope this will never ever happen), I bet his next girl will be very gratefull, because I teached him so well..

my hubby thinks im nuts and says that i have so much makeup and why do i need more. he doesnt understand that the collections are LE and you have to buy it when it comes out or you miss the boat. he didnt even understand why i would travel over an hour into manhattan to go to the mac pro store.

You're lucky. If my hubby saw all the makeup I had, he'd make me sell it. I even lock my traincase when I go out because I'm scared he's gonna take a calculator and add up my obsession

My boyfriend is the same. He even sits through my Specktra sessions. He'll come to the counters with me and will play with electric eel.

This is cross posted from a Hauls thread-- but I think it applies.

my boyfriend is a butt and we went to MAC yesterday and I bought ONE thing... it was a first... because he was with me and he was like "you don't need anything else... save your money... you look beautiful without it..." finally he settled for "at least wait until your next paycheck so you aren't using your food money" i was so pissed because its not like he was buying it for me... i kept telling him "the girls on specktra are going to hear about this! and call you unsupportive!" and he was like "ok honey"

it felt almost sacriligious only purchasing one item... I didn't even get a MAC bag for it... I was so unspeical... I got a stinky Nordies one =(

My hubby is a MAC supporter as well. Last Christmas, my stocking was filled with a bunch of eyeshadows, each one wrapped!

you lucky girls. i get eye rolls when i mention the words "make up" or "mac". however, my SO really does try. he bought me a whole bunch of mac stuff when he was over in the USA earlier this year (from a list i gave him), and now he teases me about my makeup being my "stamp collection".

i also get the "you don't need it, you look fine without it" line. usually when i'm applying a bit of slap so i look presentable.

my boyfriend doesn't even begin to understand it ,. he wont know the difference between covergirl and Chanel. .. He hates makeup. he thinks its gross and doesn't seem to understand why I need to put stuff on my eyelids. he thinks its falling into my eyes and gonna make me blind or something.HE did go to MAC to get me a traincase one year for christmas though. He didnt understand that mac was expensive though and he left.. haha.. poor guy he knows nothing about shopping. or brands or anything. he just buys whatever fits him and leaves.

I read this thread, and just had to reply about my boyfriend. Yesterday he took me to a huge shopping centre to get me my christmas present. He said I could have some nice things from MAC or one bigger thing like the perfume I'd been lusting after. He was so sweet, he went to all the make-up counters with me and was opening all the palettes up, helping me decide by saying things like "Now would you really use all those colours in that?" Or "I think you'd really use that lipstick/eyeliner etc. You would look lovely wearing that" He was very patient and so cute. At first he didn't understand the pricing system - you know what guys are like, they go by how much you get or how big something is for your money. He wondered why a little Benefit thing was £20. But he soon came around hee hee.
I just wanted to share how lovely he is. In the end I went for the perfume as a gift from him, as I had been wanting it for so long. But it was great to have him there, being interested and helping me. The poor boy is going to have to come every time I go Make up shopping now ha ha.
