Hey ladies (and guys!) at Specktra! I was having trouble figuring out where to start with p/p since I've tried almost every other product MAC has to offer. I got my first p/p the other day, Indianwood, and I love love love love love love love it! As a base! As a shadow! EVERYTHING. So now I'm wondering what are your recs for other p/p suited for NC35? I am Chinese with dark brown/black hair!

Eyeshadows I use often for reference:
- woodwinked, honesty, bronze, carbon, sumptious olive
- pigments: mauvement, mega-rich, cocomotion, vintage gold
- some estee lauder plum smoky eye
- planning to get Dior quint in Twilight (sparkly dark and sky blues) if it ever comes back in stock in Sephora again, in time for me to use my $15 coupon.
- that shimmering nudes palette by Bobbi Brown

I also have UDPP as a base, in case that matters.

What p/p will work with the above ?

I use painterly as a basic, so that's a must-have.
And I think you would love Mosscape and Rubenesque.
I think Greenstroke is cool too but you have to hurry because it's on the chopped list.
Artifact
is another cool paint pot. It's great with the plums.Have fun!!

I just looked on the site and it looks like Greenstroke is already gone. Booo. It sounds like a cool shade (read about it online sometime before).

What skintone are you? I'm a little afraid that Painterly might show up a little light on me...

What do you suggest I pair Moss Scape with other than my greens?

I'm not really sure if I can pair different colors eyeshadow over paint pot..

I don't think Painterly would be the right choice for you. I suggest Soft Ochre instead. Groundwork is a great base for browns.

Constructivist is a wonderful paint pot to use with warmer, richer tones. It would complement a lot of your shadows beautifully. I use it with Woodwinked a lot.

Bare Study is a great base and goes with most anything.

I have every single paint pot except about 4.....Working on those 4

I adore them all!

I think Painterly and Soft Ochre, Bare Study go with most shades

Browns - I love Constructivist, Quite Natural or Groundwork

Bronze tones- Indianwood

Greens/Teals - Delft, MossScape, Greenstroke

Reds/Burgundy/Maroon - Artifact

Purple - Nice Vice

Golds/Neutrals - Cash Flow, Layin Low. Rubenesque or Bare Study

Smokey looks - Blackground

Pinks - Girl Friendly, Fresco Rose

Blues - Electro

I love Soft Ochre paint pot! Im a NC30 and it is almost the same color of my skin so it works totally awesome to even out my lids and as a base on top of the UDPP.

Soft Ochre p/p would be a great base for you! Im NC 25 and I use it as a base from lid to brow, it neutralizes the lid color and eliminates discoloration.. I love it!

I also like Delft (works great as a liner!), Rubenesque and Greenstroke =)

I always pair different color paint pots to different color eyeshadows. You should check this site out: MAC Eyeshadow Combinations - Updated 08/19/08

my skintone is much darker than yours. I am NC 42 and painterly looks great on me.
you might still be able to find greenstroke on CCOs.
