nude lip recommendation

Hello, this is my first thread so sorry if I am doing it wrong, but I was wondering if you could help me with nude lips. I am an nw20 and tend to use myth if I am doing a nude lip on myself, but I am doing my friends make up for a special occasion and she is about an nc42 and I think myth would be too washed out on her? I know that sounds strange to say about a nude lip but I hope you get what I mean lol. So yea any suggestions?
Also I was wondering if you think a plum lip and smokey eyes is too much for an evening look?

Creme D'Nude or Shy Girl could work, they are less likely to make me look washed out anyway. If she has really pigmented lips, I would fill in with a light colored lip pencil first and powder to negate her lip color. I am not very familiar with MAC lipliners (have not started collecting them yet LOL) but you could use Oak maybe? I use NYX lip liner in Natural to negate my lip color first when doing nude lips then I use Creme D' Nude, Fleshpot, Shy Girl or Hue.

For evening I think plum lips and smokey eyes is

. I just did this look with Odyssey for the lippy and I loved it!

Brownish nude: Fresh Brew
Yellow-toned nude: Siss (Formula may dry out lips.)
Peachy nude: Freckletone
Pinkish nude: Jubilee, Velvet Teddy, Half n Half

Lip Liners (depending on how pigmented lips are)
Brown nude (darker): Hodgepodge
Brown nude (lighter): maybe Creamola or Stripdown
Pink nude (lighter): maybe Subculture or Sublime Culture
Pink nude (darker): maybe Whirl or Soar

She can pull off Myth topped with a caramel or light bronze colored gloss. I'm an NC40 and thats my fav nude lip look!

I recommend Blankety and Cherish lipsticks, I'm an NC 35 and these don't wash me out.

I'm an NC 40/42 in Studio Fix and I find that these colors have worked well: Hug Me, Half n' Half, Creme d'Nude, Fresh Brew, and Velvet Teddy (if she doesn't find it too drying- it's a matte finish). I also agree with LeopardLove's comment about maybe even layering Myth with a caramel/bronze gloss on top. It could definitely work!

I'm nc35-37 and creme'd nude washed me out. i prefer cherish. I haven't tried any other nude lipsticks from mac.

)
and I use every day Korres Cherry Full Colour Gloss in No.11 Light Pink
