Yeah, it says it's "formulated" for asian skin. And I know asians (esp in Japan) and obsessed with keeping their skin as pale as possible, hence the SPF

Pale?

Then why would bronzing powder be an issue for Asian women?

Well, my guess is that because it's just a bronzer it's temporary. Because it has an SPF in it, it will not let the suns rays penetrate your skin, so in the long run their skin will stay pale, and they won't get wrinkles. I know that in Vancouver there are a ton of Asians that wear these full face visors that almost look like combat gear, and are designed to keep the sun away from your entire face.
