Powder Foundations...?

Ok so i am hoping someone will have tried the following mineral foundations and can tell me if they are worth trying?
I have been using powder foundations for about 1 1/2 years now switching between I.D and Stila IPF. I find the staying power isnt the best and feel like i need to reapply by 2 in the afternoon. im thinking of trying either Smashbox Halo or Laura Mercier but havent had a chance to try either and was wondering if they were worth heading to the store to try?

I only need a light to medium coverage, i do like using liquid foundations but i find powder is so much quicker to apply. Any Recs would be great!

Thanks

I like Benefit's Hello Flawless for its SPF that you can still apply and touch up through the day AND touch up your SPF at the same time, but I also really like MUFE's matte powder foundation. It wears as long as MAC's Studio Fix but looks much smoother and better milled.

Smashbox Halo powder is very light coverage so its fine to use over a liquid foundation or if you don't need to cover up much. It comes with a decent kabuki as well which is good for application. Haven't tried the Laura Mercier one but would be interested to hear more.

Everyday minerals make good foundations. They come in 5 formulas. You'd have to order samples(free) to get your match first though, because they're online only.

Thanks for the help! I think i will try the smashbox as i dont need much coverage, its more just to even out my skin tone. I might try the everyday minerals as well! Thanks

To be honest I don't think you'll find a powder foundation that you don't need to reapply by 2 o'clock. Even most fluid foundations don't last that long. You need a longwearing foundation.

Try Estee Lauder DoubleWear in the light version.

I agree with this very much! I ordered the sample kit and found my perfect foundation. The trick to martching yourself well is to do it infront of a window and match it to your face and neck. I'm testing out the sample right now. For the Light color, I got it in the Original Glo formulation. I must say, that even though I have oily skin, it wasn't going to be glitter bomb as I thought it was going to be! I'm going to test it out for a few more days to make sure I have no reaction to it though. It has a light coverage. You pay $3.08 for the shipping and it's well worth it. You receive it really quick too.
