Purple eyeliner?

Hi all!

I've been looking everywhere for a good purple eyeshadow/eyeliner to achieve a look I saw on someone before and recently it was featured in the new Urban Decay line, only in blue. However, all the purples I have purchased are either too dark or too light where you can't see it, or they turn pinkish and make my eyes look irritated. Purple is my FAVORITE color and I'd prefer it, but at this point I'm willing to try any color that might look good on WOC underneath the eye. I don't wear MAC foundation, so I don't know what color I am in it, but I am black and I wear Bare Escentuals in medium tan if that helps. Here is the look I'm going for per urbandecay.com and also a youtube link of it. Thank you to whoever can help!!!

Milan Minerals has a great purple known as Passion Play. It is a mineral powder. It is great as a liner.

So for eyeshadows... use a base. I always use Royal hue shadestick or any purple, pinkish base. My favorite purples to use on one of my best friends who is black but darker than a medium tan, are Fertile

You can put Royal hue underneath your eye and put on top a lighter purple, which will look darker due to the shadestick color. It all depends on the purple you're trying to achieve.

and Nocturnelle
. They look fab on her.
Hope this helps!
PS- I LOVEEE purples also. I'm addicted.

Okay the message split but hopefully it makes sense!

(the message cut into the 2 colors Fertile and Nocturnelle.)

Especially when the mixing medium is added, makes it nice and smooth, much easier to apply that way.

Especially since I want to order from MilianMinerals anyway and get one of Urban Decay's liners. hr44--thanks for telling me all that! I will try that soon.

The actual name of the one that is described as "glimmering Plum" is 1999. Don't forget UD's new purple eyeliner in the 24/7 group: Rockstar. This one, and two of the other new colors, are only available through the UD website or at Sephora.

Violet pigment on bottom lash line looks awesome.
