Quick Help!

I'm wearing dark eyeshadow today. A cheap, light blue and Black tied to be exacty with black eyeliner and back mascara. I need to know what lip colors go with dark eyeshadow, pinks, nudes, etc. I don't have any MAC lip colors yet...so just a basic shade would be helpful. I am wearing hot pink right now and it really doesn't look right to me. Here's pics that I took after I first put it on this morning...for reference.

(This is only the second time I have ever warn dark colors, so I am kind of at a loss.)

As always, any help is appreciated.

Edit:// Also, anyone know what would be a good alternative to mac paints or eye primer? I just noticed that my blacktied is creasing some.

One last Edit:// Any one have any idea why my makeup looks so cakey? For instance, usually I wear concealer (sometimes two different kinds), foundation (sometimes liquid, sometimes the creamy kind in a compact) and some kind of powder (the last few times, I have been using Jane Colorless) and it looks really cakey. Today, however, I just put on some Jergens tanning mosturizer, a thin oil free liquid foundation and the Jane Colorless powder and it still looks almost as cakey. ...Seems like no matter what I do, I am having this problem. Help?

What happens when you wear a dark eye and a bright or bold mouth (with the Pink lipstick) is that they are competing for attention. So it is always best to find the focus on one or the other. If you do a smokey eye go for a nude mouth (with the black smokey eye).

If you can get MAC Hug Me, or even just a plain beige lipgloss (MAC C-Thru), MAC Spirited or if you want pink use MAC Prrr or Oyster Girl
These are very sheer pale lip colors

Urban Decay Potion Primer is a good alternative- Many of the girls here LOVE IT

Your skin may be dry-that's why it may look cakey or if not that the formula of the foundation may not be right for you
