Haha, that's what we're here for!

I'm personally a big fan of glycolic products. They make my skin feel so much smoother, look brighter, and keeps the oilness away. I use MD Forte cleanser and it works so well. Before my skin used to get so oily midday but not anymore. I also used to get annoying pimples on my chin but now only get the occasional pimple during that time of month.

So here's what I use and works for me.. I have combination skin:
- MD Forte Cleanser II (you have to start with level I and then work your way up)
- MD Forte Lotion II (same thing with the levels)
- Aveeno SPF 30 Lotion (I meant to get Positively Radiant but got an Age Defying one instead -- not sure if I like it but ran out of a moisturizer and wanted a SPF 30 or more)
- Mario Badescu Rolling Mask (just got this and LOVE it for manual exfoliation)
- DDF 10% Glycolic Toner (this got rave reviews on makeupalley.com but to me it smells like skunk.. no exaggeration.. I used it twice and it gave my skin a nice glow but couldn't use this daily because it started irritating my skin. BTW, ladies, is it supposed to smell this bad?? I'm wondering if I got a bad batch or something.)

So I would definitely recommend a product with glycolic acid and a moisturizer with SPF 15 or more. Don't forget to put it on your neck and hands, too!

Hope this helps!

i have oily-asian-acne prone skin (hence my thread about acne scars!) here's my routine (sorry if it's a repeat, i added some other things too so HTH!) =]

cleanser: shiseido pureness deep foaming cleanser
i have also used ddf dermatologic formula salicylic wash 2% and murad aha/bha exfoliating cleanser. both have given me good results in the past.

toner: shiseido pureness balancing softener

exfoliator: cle de peau clarifying serum
i dont know that it's actually considered an exfoliator but it really does help to remove dead skin cells. you can actually see brown spots of skin on the cotton ball after you swipe it on your face. to get the maximum results, you can use it with cle de peau's facial cotton. for everyday use, a cotton ball is fine, but i use the cotton for days when im going somewhere special.

moisturizer: i use clinique's dramatically different moisturizing gel (there's also a lotion, but the gel is designed specially for us oily skin gals!) and since i live in San Francisco where it is constantly cold and breezy, i also use the clinique superdefense spf 25 age defense moisturizer for combination oily to oily skin. it is highly recommended to use something with at least spf 25 in it if you use a skin lightener.

skin lightener: nars lightening cream and cle de peau's anti age spot serum for scars.
the nars cream is a lot of bang for your buck because most brands are much more expensive for a 1 oz jar, but the nars one is 3.5 oz. and the cle de peau serum... TO DIE FOR! works absolutely amazing.

one last thing, i highly recommend using DermaDoctor's Tease Zone as a primer. it's a mattifying primer mixed with skincare properties so it's great to use before putting on makeup.

i hope all my rambling is some help for you! =]
