red smokey and purple smokey EOTD

I don't do many smokey looks, but i decided to give this a try!

Brows
MAC Matte brown from 2008 holiday smokey pallette

Eye - Red side
MAC rubenesque p/p
Clinique cream liner as a base color (black)
MAC beauty marked e/s
MUFE star powder (Red one- sorry i don't know the shade number)
MAC Vex to highlight e/s

Eye - Purple side
MAC rubenesque p/p
Clinique cream liner as a base color (black)
MAC Black tied e/s
MAC violet Pigment
Medusa's makeup eye dust in red baron

oh, i also didn't use eyeliner and i just left the mascara from earlier on... it probably would have looked better if i didnt!

sorry, i know the pictures are crappy and i wish i could have had a full face shot for you but this was just an experiment and i didn't end up doing any face makeup.

I think you nailed it pretty good, both are very pretty, especially the purple one. Violet Pigment is UHH-MAY-ZING!

They turned out great for never doing smokey eyes.. I think I like the purple side better, I've never used red shadow before though, you did a good job with the red look too

I really like both of these, but the purple is my favorite, simply because the blending is more seamless.

The red and black look is so vibrant and I love how you were able to pull it off without it looking cartoonish.
