Skin type?

I can never tell what skin type I have because different test methods always equal in different ones!

Attributes of my skin:
- SLIGHTLY oily forehead and nose (sometimes cheeks too). It doesn't appear shiny, but it feels oily.
- Mild acne on cheeks/chin.
- Large pores on nose/cheeks near nose.
- Tends to become very red on top of cheeks, just under my eyes, when using certain products.

So what, am I combination? Sensitive? Oily? Normal?

The only know I know I am definitely NOT, is dry! Thanks for any help in advance.

I would say you have oily-to-combination skin. Keep in mind that not everybody has only one 'skin-type'. I used to have oily skin when I was a pre/teen...Then my skin went Combo. In the winter especially (but other times as well) my skin also tends to run to the dry category. I would advise you to pick skin products for Combination skin. I was having a facial at the spa on the cruiseship last week, and the esthetician asked me if I exfoliated. I told her I did every once or twice a month (because like I said, I'm prone to very dry patches on my skin)..She told me to exfoliate once or twice A WEEK no matter if I have dry patches or not (use a very, very good exfoliating product...something from a spa, or a product an esthetician recc's. Don't use any cheap-o stuff to exfoliate your skin!!!)! She gave me La Therapie products to use. I spent about $1,000 on skincare products:crap:

, but they'll last me a long time, and hey; it's my FACE...MY SKIN!!!!).

Anyway, I digress....use a good product..lol...Hope that helped...a little??

yeah, you are definately oily AND sensitive.

try to find products that target both types.

I have dry cheeks/eye area, but an oily t zone... (I have very resistant skin) but I find it very helpful to treat my face like patchwork. I treat my nose and eyes very differently each with a different product. It seemed like a PITA at first and a little costly, but your face stuff will last forever if you only apply it to the areas where it's actually needed.

HTH!

you're exactly the same as me. combination; oily/sensitized. i always thought i was oily until i was going to school to become an esthetician and found out i was sensitized as well. i never knew i could be both.

i treat the oily part daily and the sensitized part when i get facials.
