Stila Liquid Liner or Mac Fluidline???

Hey there!
Is there really a difference between the Stila Liquid liner and the MAC fluidline (other than the fact that Stila's is in the form of a pen, and you use a brush for the fluidline)? I own the Stila liner, and let me tell you, this sucker is BLACK! I have a similar pen from CoverGirl *barf*, and totally pales in comparison. I'm on the fence on whether or not to purchase the fluidline? Suggestions?

I LOVE my fluidline, far more than the pen liners. Though I am intrigued what the Penultimate will be with Mac's chill collection.

Pens just seem to turn blotchy on me after a while, and I hear you on the covergirl one, I had one that certainly wasn't black (though it was the blackest they had). I like how with a fluidline you can see how much you've used, the texture, and I like the control I feel I have. Believe me, my first time with either a pen or liner brush I was shaky, it looked horrid. But after using it a handful of times, I think I'm a lot more controlled now and love fluidlines!

So my advice is try one fluidline (blacktrack is most popular), then with the Chill collection in December, check out the Penultimate (crazyyyy good black liner from what swatches I've seen and reviews!) with the rest of MAC-addicts!

I have not used the Stila liner, but Fluidline is one of the few MAC items I love. Fluidline is perfect for me because it's not as harsh as a liquid but it's still good definition. It's also very easy to apply if you get a small enough brush
