What SPF products do you favor for your hair and scalp? I'm not looking for waterproof (not planning on swimming), but if it is, that would be great.

I use redkens UV rescue daily sun milk leave in protective moisturizer. i like it cuz its light and its really easy to just spritz some in your hair in a hurry.

I've tried the following since I'm a sucker for all sunscreen things

.
1. Neutrogena Triple Moisture Silk Touch Leave-In Cream
2. Redken UV Rescue Protective Oil
3. Redkin UV Rescue Daily Sun Milk

The Redkin Daily Sun Milk is described as a protective moisturizer for hair and SPF 12 sunscreen for scalp. The Protective Oil is heavier (at least it makes my hair feel more oily...but I probably spray too much LOL). Though it is termed as a leave in smoother for sun exposed hair, it does contain SPF and is water resistant. In my honest opinion, the Sun Milk is just like sunscreen and tends to leave a "white" lotion like look to my hair (my hair is black, so its quite a contrast). The Protective Oil though heavy, has beautiful gold specks/glitter, so when on the hair, gives a beautiful sparkle..very beachy romantic. What I do is spray it on the hair, comb it through, and then put my hair in a loose bun. So when I come home in the afternoon and shake out my hair, I get pretty soft waves~And I love the scent. I was totally hooked on this line because of the scent and bought the whole collection

A less expensive alternative is Neutrogena's Silk Touch Leave In Cream. Its more of a leave in conditioner but has UV filters. I like how it smooths my hair and the smell is nice too but I do prefer the Redken scent

I hope this helps and sorry for such a long reply

I always use a little of Paul Mitchell's The Conditioner in my part if I'm going to be out in the sun.
