Talk about something to ruin your day-what do you tell the kids, her?

Well my neighbors next door, i have a tounge in cheek dislike for them. I really do like them.

Well my nieghbor had a dog, it was a good dog. a medium sized yellow dog that when they found him he had been really abused badly and all he did was shake. So they named him Shakey. He was a good dog. At first I didn't like him because he chased my cats but then I did like him after I got him to trust me.

He was a good dog-I mean they liked him a lot so they put him in a BIG BACK YARD Fence and it was good.

Well today I came in and I was told that she was in a hurry and backed out of her driveway. Well I'm not sure how the dog got out but she was in a hurry and she ran over Shakey.

Shakey didn't make it

It was an accident and they don't know we know. We only know because the vet is a good friend of ours and he called us to tip us off to what happened. In case we see a sobbing neighbor.

Im worreid because those kids, they like me a lot for some reason and they are good kids. I know they will ask what happened or something along those lines.

What do you say to them? These kids they are like in K, Pre K

knowing these neighbors that wont really work

I've tried and i have a feeling mom doesnt want to say anything about it. at this age the kids they are easy to blame people.

I think I will go have a ceremony for shakey tonight

Yeah but it's not your responsibility to tell them what happened. :/

True.

It just-hurts so bad knowing something you know will hurt a child emotionally.

Its so sad

well. it happened.

my neighbor came running across his yard in tears (remember hes only in Pre-K) he's the little one ran to me screaming his mommy killed shakey.

His mom came after him and he told her " No, I don't want you to. You killed Shakey"

I know that cut her like knife. it even stung me a bit.

So I just stood there and held him and then i just started talking. It was weird because I dont really even like kids that much but these - i mean the words they didnt even feel like mine. I just said that accidents happen much like when your playing outside and you skin your knee-nobody can help it. It just happens and that was what happened to shakey. and then i told him it wasn't his mommys fault because she loved shakey, and shakey loved her. i told him that as long as shakey was in our hearts he could never really die and that he was hanging out with God right now and when his time came to die he'd be greeted with a big ol shakey kiss. and shakey he would make sure to give his human mommy a big kiss and tell her that he knew it was an accident and that he forgives her.

I just don't even know what happened i just said it and then I told him that Shakey will always go on loving him and being with him and so will his mommy.

It hurt though and the little boy he went home with his mommy and they burried him it hurt so bad. She feels a lot of guilt and i told her that it wasnt her fault.
