This is weird

Hello all
I did a brides makeup on Sunday
She has really oily skin so I used oil-control lotion to help with the oil and I used a creme to powder foundation I then went on with the loose powder, blush etc. after the makeup application was finished I used a little fix + to seal the look
Well she began to cry during a family pray and when she looked up there was a white streak down her face where the tears had fell

What happened?? I have no idea it was like the tears made her makeup turn white
Does anyone have any idea as to what could have happened?

btw I used a sponge and the make-up went right back to look great but it scared me to peices cause the wedding hadn't even started yet

I would guess (and this is only aguess based on my experiences wearing makeup, I'm certainly not a makeup artist...) that the powders and her tears mixed up and made the lighter streaks. When I wear full foundation/powder/everything else, and I cry, it does the same thing. :/
