Hi everyone, I am currently in year 12 doing a folio for my Visual Communication and Design class. I am very passionate about makeup so I decided to design an edgy logo for a lip palette and a large window poster for a makeup store in Melbourne. I have three ideas (concepts) for my logos and three ideas (concepts) for the poster. My overall theme for my brand was edgy and grungy, I wanted to pair something that is not seen with makeup with my concepts eg. the hammer and toolbox. I need feedback to move onto refinement so if anyone who is a makeup artist or has experience in the design field please give me feedback on which concept I should use for the logo and which concept I should use for the poster I would greatly appreciate it. Please give a brief statement on why you chose it and what you like about it and also what could be improved. Can you also please tell me which logo/poster idea you like the most from the concept, eg. The cheetah print lips from concept 1 for the logo. These are very quick and rough drawings and edits so please be kind.
My first concept for the logo is lips.
My second concept for the logo is the toolbox which is meant to represent a makeup bag/kit.
My third concept for the logo is the hammer.
My first concept for the poster is just a regular picture of me wearing lipstick.
My second concept for the poster is an illustration made from the photographs in concept 1.
My third concept for the poster is my hand with my brand name written in lipstick which is meant to show that you don't need lips to showcase a lipstick.
