Walking Dead/ Resident Evil

I know that this is a bit extreme for a FOTD.
However, I am moping and am riddled with lot of self-doubt so I have been distracting myself with a special effects kick recently.
I lost out on a job that I am more than qualified for and it was a company that I have always wanted to work for- I didn't even make it through to the second round of interviews.
As I don't really want to be stuck in retail my whole life, I am seriously thinking about working in Special Effects.
Anyone from the UK studied special effects?
Can you give me advice on the likelihood of actually progression into employment, if I were to take up something like this?




What I used:
-MUA Dark brown eyeshadow, for dark circles
-Tissue
-Mehron Liquid Latex
-PVA Glue
-False nails
-MUA Red lipstick
-Red pigment (made by me)
-Ebay Gel Liner
-Mehron Fake blood.
-GOSH Xceptional wear foundation
-Hartleys Jelly (for the rest of the blood)

I had to use PVA glue in the end, as I am seriously running low on liquid latex!
Also, I wish that I didn't use false nails for the teeth, as it looks a bit crappy :/

Ewwww! There should have been a warning on this one for people who are squeamish! Bleh that looks real! Great job, can't see how you didn't make it in your interview. Keep at it, you've obviously got the talent! =)
