What does this abbreviation mean...fashion education related

I'm looking at possibly a huge carreer change in my near future and I came across a requirement for a job that I'm not exactly sure what it stands for...see if you can help me out!

What does the DEC stand for in "DEC in fashion merchandising"

It must be some sort of course or degree, but I can't figure it out. I hope its not so obvious that I feel like a total moron once someone spells it out for me

Isn't it a "diploma of college" studies? Or...diploma in English communications. I think it goes both ways.

Thanks Julia. I really have no idea. I don't think they need an English diploma. Maybe its more of a generic term like you said. I even though Distant Education Course, but that wouldn't make sense that they suggest a correspondence course. Although that may be the only way I can get that course since there is nothing near by to help me.

yea, i have a DEC in creative arts. it's a college (cegept in my case) degree.
