I don't use it on my outer V a bunch, but depending on the "V shape" I am trying to achieve, it can help!! Its also nice to darken the outer V corner if the other brush you used didn't completely fill it in. The only thing is, is that if you use if for your outer V if can make the line quite sharp so lots of blending is required after that!

Oh, one brush that also works good for outer V and shading is the 228 (small shader brush) I find it works perfect sometimes for packing color in smaller areas (as well as creating a more controlled outer V. Gotta try it if you guys don't have it. I feel the 228 doesn't get all the love it deserves sometimes...lol

Lid- 252
Crease- 217 or 272
Outter V- 217 or 222
Inner V- 219
Blending- 224

Definitely echoing jdechant's rec for the 227. Awesome brush for blending between your crease and highlight color, softens edges, etc. I call it my super blend, and it's really just the perfect size for it. It also works well for a cheekbone highlight. It does double duty.

Lid- 239!!!!!!!!
Crease- 217 or a pencil brush (think MAC's is 219?)
Outter V- 217 or pencil
Inner V- fluffy eyeshadow brush from Sephora
Blending- 217 or rounded crease brush by sephora.

Personally for me, the MAIN eyebrushes i use are the 239 and 217.
i got a pencil brush by burjior for liek a couple bucks and it works great and as my highlight, i use a fluffy eyeshadow brush by sephora.

Good Lord.. I asked this question to a MAC MA and she told me to use the 224 for EVERYTHING.. wtf???

LOL

I was trying to put it on and was like.. youve got to be KIDDING ME?

the 224 is the best best best best brush in the world for BLENDING

Then, when I went to another MA she told me to get the 219 and use it for EVERYTHING

WTF?

Got it home, tried it out.. GREAT for a crease, not so much to use on everything. LOL

Finally someone pointed me in the right direction of the 239 and the 242 which I use a LOT....

So what m trying to get at is..Ive had some rough goes at it with brushes and....

Listen to Jenna. She knows all. Kthanks.

^^Haha...WTF 224 for everything?? That MUA must of been pretty talented! lol..do do the whole eye with that brush! lol....and 217 makes a little more sense then the 224 but JESUS, they are supposed to upsell their product..not say you can get everything done in one brush! haha..If I had to pick ONE brush that could do everything, I would probably pick the 239 or 217...hhmm..but cant decide between the two cause I love em both!

Lid- 239 (there is no competition for this brush)
Crease- 219/222
Outter V- 219
Inner V- 219 (is it any wonder that I own 2? :p)
Blending- 217

I think you can make just about any look with these three/four brushes.

To be honest, I dont have specific ones for specific areas of the eyes. I just use whatever I can find in my bathroom at the time :p I have a lot from Michales, the ones people use to paint and do artwork. They work soooo good! And they are so not expensive. Some are real good for blush, powder......its a great alternative.
