Who Says JANE is Plain?

Rite Aid has JANE on sale BOGO free, so I jumped on that yesterday and bought 5 e/s and a blush. They're not bad! The blush is very pretty, actually. I guess we'll see how the staying power is. Speaking of staying power... OMG MAC PREP AND PRIME!!! Check out these pics I took yesterday after having make-up on for about 10 hours: http://entipy.smugmug.com/gallery/3761653/1/216467887

I also got some L'Oreal Panoramic Curl mascara to try. I like it, but it's not dark enough for me. Meh.

My crease looks awful, so please ignore that. I like the look with my eyes open, so I guess that's okay since it's how people usually see me! LOL! Also, I don't have my contacts in today, so my liner and brows might be a bit sloppier than usual.

FACE:
primer - MAC Prep and Prime
concealer - MAD: Green and Medium, L'Oreal True Match: C4-5 - undereye area (bah! I need something GOOD!!!)
foundation - MAD: Natural Medium and Natural Medium Tan
finisher - MAD: Translucent Veil and SPF Powder
blush - JANE: Blushing Blossom

EYES: (all e/s JANE)
UDPP
e/s - Prom Queen - lid
e/s - Dazzle - outer v, lower lashline
e/s - Hazelnut - crease, banana
e/s - Browny Points - crease
e/s - Hip Bone - highlight
e/l - Laura Geller: Tuscan Night - upper and lower lashlines, smudged
Prestige Browliner in Blond
L'Oreal Panoramic Curl in Black

LIPS:
l/g - E.L.F. Moisture-Care: Natural Blush

Oh, yes, Jane has great products. I liked the foundation, but it wasn't light enough for me. ;( I like their e/s too. I am a sucker for e/s.

You look fresh as a bouquet. The prep is great, but you have great skin.

Aw so pretty!! I just might have to check out Jane's blushes now!!! How was the staying power with the eyeshadows? I saw the deal at Rite Aid earlier this week but I wasn't sure about their products?

Well, I think the staying power with the blush was much better than the shadows. It's weird because I have some other Jane shadows, and it seems like they stayed fine before. I can't give a really good answer, though, because I took a nap yesterday, so some of it could've rubbed off then.

Blushes = definitely worth the deal!

Love it! I'm in the market for a new foundation primer acutally so I may just have to check out MAC prep + prime on your reccommendation

It's awesome!! I'm not sure how it compares to Smashbox (which is one a lot of people rave about), but it definitely works better than the Monistat/Rice Powder combo I'd been using. I can't wait to try rice powder with the Prep and Prime, too!!

MAC has two different Prep and Prime face products. A Prep and Prime Skin and Prep and Prime Face. I posted another thread elsewhere asking what the difference is, and BunnyBunnyBunny posted this:

Quote:
Prep + Prime Skin is for priming makeup. It adds a slight luminescence to the skin as well as provides a smooth "canvas" for foundation, concealor, and powder. It also helps face makeup last alot longer. Is intended to be worn over moisturizer but before makeup. The product itself is a smooth white cream with a gentle shimmer to it.

Prep + Prime Face Protect SPF 50 is just an SPF cream created to be worn under makeup. It does feel very smooth when worn, but it does NOT provide better application of makeup like the Prep + Prime Skin. All it does is protect from sun damage. I prefer to wear both. Apply after moisturizer, and before Prep + Prime Skin, and makeup. The consistency is a very thick, opaque white cream. Hope that helps!

So, I'm guessing the product I have and have been using is the Skin. I would call the MUA and ask her, but I doubt she would remember. :/

I have a shimmering bronzer (Sedona) and a shimmering blush (Wisteria) from Jane I LOVE. They both function more like MAC MSFs than their given product names. They both make you look so dewy and soft. I love them both.

And Jane's eyeshadow in Hazelnut was my HG eyeshadow before I discovered MAC.
