Is TheBodyNeeds.com a legit site to order sample pigments from? I ordered from them after hearing google things on youtube and another message board but now I'm worried I might get fakes! Has anyone used this site before?

I've heard several people that have had questions before... From what I've read she sales real ones but then people have ended up with fakes too.

I used to buy her empty pigment jars. A lot of them were real, but beware that she does have FAKES mixed in there too. After I realized she was doing this, I quickly ended my business with her.

I was also wondering if they were legit or not. I kept hearing good things on the MUA boards and almost placed an order on there a couple days ago. I'm glad I read this, I'm definitely going to pass and get my samples elsewhere.

Ugh I got them today, but I'm having trouble telling if they are fake or real. I've never used pigment before.

The best way to compare pigments is only to know that you have a 100% authentic MAC pigment to compare to. I hope the ones that you received are authentic!

They seem fine. I guess I will have to be more careful next time and find somewhere else to get sample pigments.

^^The problem with *seem* is that you cant know unless you have had 100% Authentic MAC before. Lots of fakes seem ok - look at the Deep Blue Green for example. There is just no way you can tell unless you have had real pigments before - they will ALL seem OK if you havent

And with this seller, at first she was taking off the labels from the bottom of some of the pigments. (As has been discussed previously, fakes are getting better and better, especially with the jars). While I did think this was weird, I didn't question it as some of the other pigments had a label and were definitely authentic. Upon using these "non labeled" pigments, I was breaking out in a rash (very itchy, red, and bumpy) on my eyelids. That was my first clue something was wrong. The colors I was using were also "eye safe." I guess she got tired of taking off the labels, or thought maybe I would never question/notice a difference, so that's when she started sending them with the labels, and that's how I found out for sure there were fakes. Of course you can make your own decision on whether you will use these, but just be careful.

They were all in 5 gram jars with her labels. I'm afraid to use them. Nothing bad has happened but I don't want to damage my eyes? Could I get my money back somehow? Also could anyone suggest a safe place to buy pigment samples?

If you're after samples - try Mac Mocha or Cheryl in the Clearance section.
