Thanks for posting all the swatch links, I think I like the look of these MES more than the G&I ones.

The speculation over the 138 brush has me even more irritated over the 222 brush! I had NO idea that was going away either... then one day... GONE!! It's still available other places (allcosmeticswholesale.com & Nordstrom's Site) so I was able to grab a BU, but NO heads up or notice on the MAC site (not even in the Goodbyes section) or in MAC stores. I went to pick up a 222, the MUA went to get it and came back very confused saying she "guessed" it was discontinued. I hate not getting any notice when somethings going away. It's bad enough it's gone. Worse that I don't have a chance to back it up. Boo. Guess I'll grab another 138 just in case, but it's definitely one of their pricier brushes. And with all these up coming collections, the last thing I need to spend money on is a brush we aren't even sure what's going on with it.
Just my little rant for the day!

I checked some other MAC websites today for the 138, and it seems like it's only gone from the german and the austrian sites. So I guess it's not d/c everywhere

If nobody or only a few people buy a product in a certain country, then it's quite normal that it won't be offered anymore. I guess the price point was too high for the German market.

I hope you guys are right and it doesn't just disappear like the 222! Guess I'll take my chances for now. Thanks for the info!!

The 222 is still available on the UK site, but it's in the Goodbyes section, so if anyone wants one, now's the time

I noticed the 222 in the goodbyes part of the UK site and was a bit disappointed but I have two so don't feel like I need another. I also noticed that the 138 wasn't available on Debenhams and only on MAC's site and just figured that they didn't stock all of the brushes on Debenhams, maybe due to the price. I bought it from MAC so if they do discontinue it I have one now. It is a really expensive brush over here though so I can't imagine they sell as many compared to other brushes.

The MB swatches look sooooo nice, I will have to get all of them if they look really nice on the face (I can never choose a blush without seeing it in a face swatch or on myself). I'm really looking forward to this collection, it looks beautiful.

Mac describes Twilight Fallsas a cool brown with bronze veining, which is pretty accurate. TW is my favorite MES from this collection due to (1) the texture; (2) the color pay-off; and (3) the coolness of the shade. It is a must-have for brown and taupe lovers, a definite check-it-out if you want a neutral with an oompf.

It seems that the MES formula has been improved again when I compare it with Semi-Precious or even the recent Glitter & Ice collection. The buttery feel of these MES is just amazing. Indeed, the texture of TW is very buttery and soft, making it very easy to apply. To get this smooth texture, I would avoid TW's that have larger chunks of bronze veining as these tend to be more gritty, though it is certainly manageable if you choose to get one with a lot of bronze veining.

TW's color pay-off is extraordinary as it is highly pigmented. Whereas the G&I collection featured much softer colors, TW has certainly an almost true-to-pan pay-off in terms of depth of the color. I only applied it dry (as I do with most of my MES), but I imagine it to be an extremely vibrant color when you foil it.

Admittedly, TW is not a looker in the pan as it looks very underwhelming and almost boring (think "dog turd" for the lack of a better description!). But its full potential comes to light when applied on the skin (dry), which brings out the cool undertones of the shade that lifts "brown" to another level by adding a subtle shimmer of blue and lavender to it (and bronze if you pick one with heavy bronze veining). Mind you, if you pick one with a lot of bronze veining, you will potentially loose some (or a lot) of the coolness. However, this option also makes this shade attractive to both NC and NW complexions.

If you are skeptical about wearing brown, you might want to try out this MES as it is certainly not your regular shade of brown.

Twilight Falls is the fifth one from the bottom (just next to Subtle Breeze).

Yr description of the subtle taupe and blue veins in TW has me excited about it, the swatch piques my interest further, but you sealed the deal with the dog turd reference. I think SB will be this coming year's Hipness so it will be popular, but I am WAY more excited about the doggie bomb blush than anything else. Naturally...

Not to be obtuse, but why do I need a 222? What unique function does it perform?

I think this was just an off-topic discussion on products that are d/c. The 222 hasn't got anything to do with this collection.

Will try to put up a review of Cloudy Afternoon MES tomorrow - depending on how much time I have at the airport. :)

I just like the 222 better than the 224 for crease-work. It has a more controlled application for me. It's not as fluffy as the 224, so I feel it places color better. So I usually use the 222 to place the color in the crease, and if I need to blend out the color more I'll use the 224. Does that make sense?

And Mac-Guy is correct. We just got to talking about brushes that work well for certain products and it started a convo about certain brushes being discontinued. The 222 has nothing to do with the Naturally Collection. You can still get one, just not from MAC. And once they're gone, I'm guessing, that's it. If you have the 224 and the 217, you probably don't NEED the 222, but I have a preference for it.

Ooh I can't wait, that's one of the MES from this collection that I've been most curious about.

The mineral blushes look gorgeous

I was thinking about skipping them and waiting for the bright cream blushes from S3C3 but Fresh Honey looks so nice and pigmented, they all do; I'm really looking forward to this orange trend for 2012 though (hah, just saw the can of worms smiley, too bad there isn't a can of oranges one!)

This collection is going to be costly. I think I like all the MB and narrowing down the MES to only 1 or 2 (or 3!) can be difficult also. I guess I can live without a new lippy--gotta save money somewhere. I haven't even gotten started on the MSF either. They both look necessary...and there's the new brush. See whatImean?

I added up my list for this collection so far, and really need to cut it down. I hope some swatches suck LOL.
