Guerlain discussion

The Guerlain bronzer is kind of orange yes. I don't like the association Guerlain/Pucci, even the nail polishes look " cheap ". I am a fan of Guerlain perfumes and of the Rouge Automatique or the loose powder les Voilettes, but this spring collection is horrible, this bronzer is not subtle at all whereas the Chanel ones are very pretty and subtle ( and prices are ok, around 42 € here so far I know, I will buy one of them soon for sure ).

Yes....give it another chance and swatch it again mixed!

It is soooo pretty.....did you also see these swatches?

I just found them and here you can see again (like in Anneris swatches) how beautiful it looks when you mix all parts.
Wow. I hadn't seen those and there it actually looks like it would work well on my skin tone. I think I have to get someone to try this on my face, near natural light, for me to get a proper impression.

....I totally agree with you on this!

I hope that you can try on Terra Azzurra and love it as much as I do.
Although they're one of the highest priced brands out there, I do find that Guerlain quality justifies their price. They're the prestige brand that tempted me originally and they're one of the few brands that have not let me down with any of my purchases.

I think I just had a little heart attack when I saw this, LOL:

The new blushes look amazing, and so do the Rouge G L'Extrait, I definitely want the first one on the left.
The terracotta powder is gorgeous! The new blushes look pretty too. Not sure how I feel about the Rouge G L'Extrait, they look like chanel RAL. I hope they smell nice like the Rouge G, and not like the kisskiss glosses.

I saw the summer collection last week. If I didn't have the meteorites from last holiday, I would buy the meteorites. The pink and coral glosses are pretty too. The khol pencil rubbed off easily from my hand so I think I can't wear it on my eyes without it smudging. I like the quad and the bronzer, but I don't know how often I'll wear them. I didn't try the bronzer on my face but it looks like it will go on soft and not dirty if I use a light hand.

I read that the terracotta powder will be Sephora exclusive, so it won't be available here in Germany.

I really want at least one of the blushes, and one of the Rouge G glosses, I have never tried Guerlain lip products, these seem like a good start. I agree, they remind me of the Chanel RAL,
When I translate the blogpost it says something like it has an anti aging effect because of hyaloronic acid. Sounds great :)

I didn't get anything from the Pucci collection, even though I fell in love with it when I first saw the promo pics, but I already spent my money on MAC.

^^ Thanks. That means my counters aren't getting the terracotta powder too. I didn't get anything from Pucci too although like you I was looking forward to it when I saw the pics initially. My money went to some Nars, the Dior bronzer and the chanel summer duo.

Same here, unfortunately the summer collection in person did not wow me, the bronzer was too orange and since the kajal smudges, I am out. I might be tempted by the meteorites since I do not have any, but I am not sure. What did you get from NARS?

Yeah the kajal smudges. I think the meteorites is nice to have, although surprisingly the packaging didn't appeal to me like how the holiday's did. I got a few permanent items from Nars through a friend who traveled overseas, as the summer items were not available. I haven't receive them yet but I can't wait. When I get to try them I'll comment in the Nars thread.

Please let me know how you like your NARS goodies :) How often are you using your meteorites? And what are you using them for, just as a highlighter?

I really have say the hte Pucci collection was my most gave from all summer.

As a summary I got Capri quad, Pucci blue brush, meteorites and Bronzer/Blush powder. Love everything.

From Chanel I got only one polish- Island and Beige Sable bronzer and if I could choose again I would not purchase the Chanel brozner. Guerlain's is much better but it is also different look. It is loud bright summer. Love. If you are doubting about the Pucci brozner, get it.

Funny, I did a piece on my blog a while back talking about the strengths and weaknesses of various brands and the one thing I said Guerlain should work on was their blushes. Glad to know that they took my advice to heart.

It's funny that they're introducing the "Extrait" just as CHanel have discontinued their Rouge Allure Laques. It's like they're filling the void left in my heart.

Honestly, everything hear looks beautiful and sort of timeless. Guerlain is certainly liking the pink/ rose shades for eyes. Looks like they'll have another quad in that colour family for Fall.

Ohhh, that Fall thing is exciting! I am really taken by the pink Kiss Kiss gloss since the previous similar one had shimmer that was too chunky for my tastes. This seems more subtle. I am also interested in trying the new blushes...none of the previous line seem like nice colors to me and the one that I did like was practically invisible on my NC10 skin...
