Ummmm...even MORE confusing! The MAC closest to me said July 3rd! :huh: MAC GODS, HEAR OUR PRAYERS! GIVE US A DATE! Edit: okay Tyson's Corner which is the second closest one and probably the biggest mall in this area, said July 4th. It's also close to DC which is massively crazy on the 4th so I'd like to think that this means that it would be released then regardless of Independence Day craziness. Maybe.

Stores seem to have moved up the release a week meaning June 27 in stores because July 4th is a slow day..aaand we are trying to figure out if this also means a week earlier online :/

When I went to my Mac counter to pick up my Temperature Rising stuff my lady corrected me then and said Tropical Taboo will be there on 6/27

I'm so confused about what to get with this collecition. I think checking out in store might work best for me. That is not to say that if it hits online early I won't be tempted to order.

The more I think about it, I may do better to just haul all my Heavenly Creatures stuff out and put it into serious rotation. I'll pretend Heavenly Creatures was just relaunched. (Right now I have a basket of all new products, that way I ensure I use them all at least once before putting them in their proper place) Either way, I know I'm not going to get as much as my Heavenly Creatures haul.

Hi, I saw your photo you posted earlier. You have the exact same sort of face shape as I do - especially the cheeks. I don't have wrinkles around my eyes but I have giant bags which also put me in the same department for being a little careful about how I apply highlight.

You're going to LOVE that 159 and as for the MSFs, I'd say don't be afraid. This batch, although it's very metallic, doesn't emphasize pores like the older ones. I bet a strong highlight like these will actually bring the eye away from the wrinkly eye bits to focus on your fabulous bone structure. You have amazing eyes anyhow, so who cares about a few wrinkles. What I think I'm going to do with these is use the MSFs and MBs and MES, but keep the eyes soft without sharp liner and my lips very subdued and natural and that will be a balanced way to go about using these items. Try Lust for the most subdued color if that concerns you (Adored is maybe a little more subdued that Lust for fair skin, but might look more extreme on deeper skin tones). Rio will be good too, if you're happy with brighter pink. Also I think you're a perfect candidate for Simmer - you should definitely check that one out.
SQ all the way - maybe even a teeny bit redder. It's brighter than SQ too.

I bet it will be repromoted again or even come back as perm, eventually.

As my store manager was saying, July 4th is their slowest day of the year besides New Year's Day - people are out BBQing, not buying makeup. Maybe that's just down here in So. Cal.


I don't think this collection is going to be a super fast sell-out. The stock levels seem pretty decent for a change. You're smart to check everything out in person, though, because these products are pretty different.

By all means, try in person. I think Rio will be the most universal of all the MSFs, though. Good luck!

Well the 3rd is highly unlikely. If mac moves up a launch, it's usually a week early (thursday) or an immediate release. They've never moved up a launch to a non-thursday, but still weeks away. It could be the 27th (stores/online) and the 4th (counters). The 4th being a holiday has absolutely nothing to do with a possible date bump. MAC picks these launch dates months in advance. If it being launched on a holiday would've been an issue, the 4th would've never been considered in the first place. But all of this could be moot, as MAC tends to not know what's going on today or tomorrow, let alone in a couple weeks.

You're too funny, Erine. The last sentence really gave me a good laugh! I just called the freestanding MAC at Somerset Collection in Troy, Michigan. They said it was coming out on June 27th, a week before the counters will get it.
