& a few other things.

MAC rules! I tried on the new Apple watch & I fell in LOVE! It was the stainless with the mesh band

Man, it was so awesome & beautiful.
I'm concerned about being able to see data on the watch's screen---I've gotten spoiled with my 6 Plus. My sister
ordered one of the watches. My hubs prefers to wait for the kinks to be ironed out and apparently there are a few.

My hair's in bad shape already because of stress- breakage all over my head. I have layers that were never cut into my hair! So, I've been babying my hair and trying to make it happier.

My skin does need love, too. I'm using some deluxe samples of skincare I can't possibly afford that are working for me. It's going to be sad when they run out.
Hopefully both will be restored before you run out of samples!!!!

I've been using the Alterna Bamboo Color Hold Mask on a near-daily basis and it has made a huge difference.

Now, if money were no object, I'd be using the Guerlain Orchidee Imperiale La Creme for real. I can't deal with $455 for a night cream though.

I hope changing the topic doesn't make me seem insensitive, but I'm still quite raw having buried my father about 3 weeks ago. Unfortunately, I haven't even had time to process it for myself and the grief hits me in little dribbles. When I crack, it'll be awful. I beg everyone's indulgence.

This was one of those days when I thank goodness for TF. 3am is an awful wakeup time.
((((HUGS))))

For anyone who purchased the eye and cheek palette, what are your thoughts?? I'm on the fence because of the price tag, but its so gorgeous.
It's lovely I'm so glad my hubby bought it for me :) I really like it have used it a few times now Only thing is using it makes it look untidy lol and not brand new obviously I need a back up lol I think I would of let it to last minute if it was my money I was buying it from though as it is expensive like everything else in coll But then again I was thinking get expensive stuff first One big bronzer and then a little bronzer :) etc Hope you buy it It be great colours for warmer weather and holidays just to take away . Hubby said that can go in hand luggage if we go away like in my hand bag as it's make up So can my terra big bronzer I said I didn't think it was allowed in hand luggage ( ie handbag he said yes of course ) so I'm glad for that too

Depending on what your skin type or condition is, this may or may not apply. But for me with dry-normal skin, I have used mostly natural products for skin care since my early 20's and they have worked well. I use coconut or jojoba oil to soften makeup and then remove it with rose water on a cotton pad. You can then mix it up with moisturizers, serums etc. I also use natural sun block sun screens and have found ones that don't sting around the eye area. I'm pale to begin with so it means that I am more prone to sun damage and also that the "white cast" of natural blocks fades in and is less of a problem. But what I like to do is moisturize first, to create a barrier between the sunscreen and what sinks into my skin, and then do other things as the sunscreen absorbs. I blot if the "canvas" is too oily or white. Then i apply foundation over the absorbed sunscreen-- and go from there to apply my makeup. At night, I do use various kinds of serums, night creams, etc.-- heavier in winter, lighter in summer. In cold weather, I carry a heavy moisturizer sample, sunscreen, and blush with me, so if I need to reapply to protect my skin from the elements, I can. I also worked on a book called the Skin Type Solution which breaks it down for all different skin types and conditions if this does not apply to you.

I guess it depends on whether you would get good use out of it. But there are five different products in it. So when I was deciding, I looked at each item and asked myself, "Would I wear this?" And for me, the answer was that four out of five were colors I could wear daily (if I were not mixing it up with other shades and looks.) In fact, the quality is so lovely that I am tempted to wear it every day. The one product I would not wear daily is the rose/wine eye shadow. The gold is actually a mild mannered near to neutral that is very wearable. The other thing is size. As others have mentioned, the palette is quite large and it is a bit of a PITA to open for someone who is a tad klutzy and also has some nail length. I would not carry it around with me much, but leave it front and center on my makeup table.

Hugs to all of you who are dealing with or have dealt with such terrible losses. I too have suffered my own so I completely understand. Makeup has always been a great distraction for me as well.

You all are making me want the palette! Has anyone tried any of the permanent Lip Shines? They have always tempted me but I guess I haven't been convinced that they're $50 worthy.

Like @Winthrop44 said, hugs hugs and hugs to everyone here. I've also dealt with losses and know it can be very, very hard. There is something very comforting about sharing and loving beautiful things. It's a positive experience in a very tough world! (hugs hugs hugs again!!!) I think people deal with things differently --I think a lot of makeup lovers tend to be very positive. empathetic, sensitive people. Maybe it's true for fashion and the arts too, I'm not sure. This indulgence has been a really positive thing, honestly there are so many other ways to process that aren't as positive and fun. I'm grateful to have found a wonderful hobby that makes me feel better about myself and found others who share this passion.
